Leaked screenshot of the new serviceNews and leaked images have surfaced that put an end to many questions that were raised regarding Google’s new music subscription service.

YouTube Music Key

YouTube will launch a new subscription service called YouTube Music Key. Then, Google will replace its Google Play Music All Access service to Google Play Music Key. Google had confirmed their plans of a new music service in the past, but new leaked images have now surfaced, via Android Police.

Google will be offering a 30-day free trial for YouTube Music Key, after the end of which the user can buy the full service at the cost of $9,99 per month. This price will include not only the YouTube Music Key service, but the Google Play Music Key too. Although we’re not sure what leads to this decision to create two music services (and one being a subset of the other), subscribers to Google Play Music All Access will be upgraded to the new service.

Youtube Music Key, apart from video viewing, will offer audio-only streaming without ads for background listening. The number of available tracks is more than 20 million, which will be of high quality, included in complete albums and organized in artist discographies. Covers, remixes and live footage will be part of this database as well. Another feature will be the service’s ability to suggest music for the user accurately enough, with the help of advanced algorithms that take into account the things you watch/listen on YouTube. The service’s members will be able to download all this music for offline listening when there’s no internet connection available.

However, it’s not easy to get the OK from all the music label companies in order to include the music that they own in the service. But since it’s Google we’re talking about, it’s only a matter of time until all obstacles are overcome and the service is launched.

It’s also interesting that the domain YouTubeMusicKey.com was acquired by Google in the 23rd of July. Other domains, such as musickey.co, musickey.co.uk and musickey.jp were reserved by Google as well.

Google reserved YouTubeMusicKey.com on July, 23rd
