Successful Launch of IPhone 6 Plus Prompts Samsung To Launch Note 4 Sooner

Samsung has been following the moves of Apple closely and in response to the record-selling launch of the two iPhones 6 models recently they've decided to move up the launch of their latest phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smart phone to an earlier date.

The iPhone 6 Plus with its 5.5-inch screen is seen as a natural competitor to other phablets on the market such as the Galaxy Note series. Indeed, the Korean technology giant has said that they will launch in their home Korean market before the end of September, ahead of their planned October launch date. The company is expecting to sell 15 million units in the first 30 days. As many as 3.75 million Galaxy Note 4 smart phones are expected to sell in the first weekend alone. This compares to 10 million Galaxy Note 3 smart phones sold in the first two months when this earlier model was launched less than a year ago.

The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be priced only fractionally more expensively than the Galaxy Note 3 in order to retain market share as their own business division sees new problems with growth and future profitability on the horizon.

Samsung is then expected to release their flagship phablet model to US and international markets shortly thereafter.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a Super AMOLED display that is larger than the iPhone 6 Plus at 5.7-inches, with a metal body and octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM keeping the unit powering through. It can also multi-task with two apps sharing the screen at the same time with the percentage of screen real estate each app takes up being user adjustable too. They also have the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge which is a 5.7-inch phablet version with similar features plus a right-side edge display for interactive side use as well.
