Snapchat Introduces "Snap Memories"
Snapchat, the favorite application of several thousands of users, becomes quite different from how we used to know it. The app now introduces the Snap Memories service with new features which allow storing, searching and sharing your favorite Snaps.
Users can now store and share Snaps and their Stories- an essentially big change for the popular social messaging application that is widely used to send photos and videos that disappear within 24 hours.
Snapchat is trying to enrich its app ina number of ways, so as to simultaneously become more profitable. In this context, the company launches Memories, which allows users to keep a record of their snaps along with their stories, creating a personal collection of favorite moments. This service is easily accessible as it can appear with a simple swipe up from the camera. To locate a specific snap, users can type in relevant keywords, while the application now allows the combination of different Stories in order to create a single one.
A few weeks ago, Snapchat also announced the introduction of advertising between stories, in an effort to increase its revenues. Users will now encounter extendable snaps that allow them to install apps, watch videos, read articles, and even visit websites.
The new features will be available to the users in the next month or so, according to the announcement, so then we’ll see how this turns out!
