After many years of work, Dr. Abrasive managed to breach SEGA Saturn’s inner locks and crack it.
He confesses that it was not easy at all, because the work done by SEGA was really very good. How he eventually managed to do it- well, it’s better to hear it from the man himself in the following video. The point is that, now the console can read titles from a USB stick and even write content in it (e.g. save files), a function that didn’t even exist in the original design of the machine.
So, if your disc drives are dead but you still want to play games on your console, there is a solution now (only a couple of decades later).
