We included Unpossible on our list of the best Android games that put your reflexes to test for a good reason - it's nothing short of brilliant. A premium quality endless runner, Unpossible blends awesome visuals, Tron atmosphere, several difficulty modes and hours, days and even months of thoroughly enjoyable gameplay. A gem of a game, Unpossible is on my list of the best mobile games of all times, so let us see why it is worth every cent of its two dollar price tag, and more.

Unpossible [AndroidiOS] $1.99

Gameplay

The game puts you on a moving magnetic tube. We assume it's magnetic since you can move either way, left or right, without subduing to gravity and falling into the abyss of the digital maze. The pace is fast, and at first you might get disoriented by the swirling surroundings.

The tube runs and wiggles as a snake, and sooner rather than later you will have to focus on your fingers. Your sci-fi highway is loaded with deadly cutlery of all shapes and sizes, which comes from all corners, all directions, in no particular order. The aim is to stay alive as long as you can.

Controls

Everything about Unpossible is smooth and polished, and the controls system is no exception. It is dead simple - tap left to turn left, tap right to turn right. You can adjust which control system you want to use, though, so tilt controls are an option, and you can adjust sensitivity, too.

Difficulty

Unpossible features three difficulty levels:

Simplicity is for beginners to get accustomed to the environment and the game style. Survive 60 seconds in Simplicity and you will unlock the next level.

Futile - things get a lot more difficult here, with the knives and scissors coming at you with persistent frequency and speed, and suddenly the game turns into a total fail - restart rush. It does not annoy, though. On the contrary, the rhythm and speed are increasingly challenging, and having that 60 second  target ahead adds to the replay value until you overcome it. From there, you will be playing to beat your own best score.

Ultra - it's nightmare there, and accessible to hardcore twitch gamers only. It's a territory for the super-humans.

Each difficulty level comes with a daily challenge, so there is plenty to discover every day.

Then, there is one of my favorite toys in Unpossible - Cruise, a mode where you can't lose. You can play at your heart's content, or you can simply place your tablet on a holder and watch the endless spectacle accompanied by the perfectly ambient soundtrack. It's both relaxing and fun, and can be a great background for parties.

Overall, since Unpossible is a twitch game, it is difficult to beat, but it offers a very balanced assortment of difficulty options for everyone to find their niche - the beginners and hardcore players.

Visuals

Unpossible adopts the neon style of Tron, and it does it in the best possible manner. The design is dazzling, and you almost feel like Rinslers are chasing you along the futuristic tube that embraces a highly technological city. The pale moon on the dark blue night sky is the only witness to your misery and victory while the atmospheric, but non-intrusive soundtrack is a perfect companion on your endless mission to beat your own best score.

You can, of course, try to climb the global leader boards.

Conclusion

download3k review badgeUnpossible is a psychedelic experience featuring gorgeous visuals, challenging, increasingly hard and desperately addictive gameplay and an excellent replay value. This is one of the most polished mobile games for the fans of sci-fi genre and Tron style in graphics. Once you dive into its world, the game sucks you in a vortex of neck-breaking racing and mesmerizing visuals, and even though there is no story behind it, the gameplay is intensely atmospheric and addicting. It's a treat for your senses in Cruise mode, and a smooth killer in the challenge modes that will test your reflexes and sanity in most beautiful ways. By far, these are some of the most enjoyable two dollars spent on mobile gaming. You won't regret it.
