E3 2016: AMD Presents RX 460 and RX 470
The PC Gaming Show at this year's E3 was definitely the right place for AMD to present its new hardware.
And that’s what happened- and presented two new graphics cards, the RX 460 and RX 470, which belong to the Polaris “family”.
Lisa Su herself (AMD CEO) was the one to introduce us to the new models, with the two cards being a little less powerful than the RX 480. The RX 470 is ideal for 1080p gaming, while the RX 460 promises low power consumption and a very good price-performance ratio.
Lisa Su mentioned that it is ideal for MOBAs etc. Both cards will be economic and given how slightly better RX 480 will cost $199, perhaps here the price is even better. Finally, we saw a backpack for VR that may not be as expensive or “bad” as it was expected. We’ll learn more about this in the future- the same thing goes for the release dates of the above cards, since we do not know yet when they will become available.
