AMD’s vice president, Raja Koduri, announced the company’s brand new graphics card with the name Radeon RX480.
This model features more than 5TFLOPS, 36 compute units (Cus), 256GB per second memory bandwidth and will be available in two versions: 4GB and 8GB. The card will cost $199 and will become available on June 29.
AMD claims that the pricing of Radeon RX480 will allow gamers to build a system with 2 cards (Crossfire) that is both stronger and considerably cheaper than an equivalent equipped with an NVIDIA GTX1080, especially when talking about DirectX 12.
All that remains is to see it in practice, but for now, it seems that AMD is the one with the more impressions.
