Upcoming Windows 10 Build 10036 Leaked Prematurely – Video Walkthough of New Features
As members of the Windows Insider program continue to wait patiently for another update, upcoming build 10036 has been leaked to torrent sites. Since we do not recommend downloading leaked builds through torrents, we'll refrain from linking to the download. However, if you have the Windows 10 Technical Preview installed inside a virtual machine and are willing to deal with the bugs, trying out the leaked version can give you a sneak peak at some of the new features.
Soon You Won't Have to Wait So Long Between Build Releases
The leaked build 10036 that is circulating on torrent sites does contain a number of bugs, so if you use the Technical Preview as your main OS then you'll probably want to wait until Microsoft releases the next official build, which should be within the next week or two.
Fortunately, Microsoft's Gabe Aul recently stated that Windows 10 will be providing more frequent build updates for Fast ring users that are tired of waiting for the official builds to be perfectly polished. Instead, users that opt for the “Fast” update option will receive new builds more frequently, but those builds may be a bit more buggy than the official builds that the “Slow ring” will get.
What New Features are Included in Leaked Build 10036?
Although watching the embedded video at the bottom of this page would be the best way to get a quick rundown on everything new in build 10036, we can tell you there aren't many major changes that are easily visible, other than the new set of icons the Windows 10 team is trying out:
Not shown above is the strange new recycle bin icon that many critics disagree with. The mostly negative reaction from Windows Insiders regarding Microsoft's choice of iconography could just be slight resistance to change, or Microsoft may be forced to literally go back to the drawing board if their new icons continue to receive such poor reception.
