Celebrating Australia's National Day, several Australian developers on the iOS App Store allowed users to download for free a variety of paid apps and games for a limited time only. Although it is not specified for how long this offer will be valid, at the time of writing this article the games and apps are still free, so hurry up and download anything you desire, from the list below.

The games that are part of this offer are:

1. FRAMED by Loveshack

Framed is an amazing puzzle game that deserves every praise it has received. It gives the same feeling as reading a comic book, only that this time they can influence the outcome. In the game's story, our hero is either arrested, or worse, killed by the police in every page. The player must rearrange the order of the panels to help him escape without a scratch. Later on the panels will have the ability to spin around, which makes things even more interesting and complicated than they already were.

It's a great chance to be able to play this great game for free so hurry up!

2. Duet Game by Kumobius

Duet Game is an elegant and well-designed game with an incredible soundtrack that will mesmerise you. The plot is very simple: you must protect at all costs the two vessles that are in sync and represent a dance and a song. To achieve this, you must touch the right and left side of your screen to rotate them in order to avoid crashing on white blocks. Of course the blocks are not always still, but many of them move, making it harder and harder to keep the correct pace. The briliant gameplay and music make up for this puzzle game's extreme difficulty levels. You can try it out, but be warned that you won't get far if you don't have enough patience.

3. Earn to Die 2 by Not Doppler

The sequel to the highly successful Earn to Die zombie game is also on this list, waiting for you to grab it while you still can! They story is different than the 1st game's and as the developers promise, it's five times longer. In EtD2 you must reach an evacuation ship that waits for you on the other side of the country, and as if this wasn't hard enough, you must also fight your way through a large number of hungry zombies that have taken over the city. You only have a cheap car and some money to survive, but of course you can unlock other vehicles and boost ups on your way. Exceptionally fun and hilarious game!

4. True Skate by True Axis

Use your fingers to control the skateboard in this enjoyable game that doesn't require much thinking or patience. You only play this game to have fun and not to let your inner geek feast on complicated gameplay elements, since its simplicity is what makes it stand out. It includes one skate park with ledges, stairs, pipes and anything a skater loves to skate on, unless you want to unlock other parks via IAP. The graphics are lovely and the controls are smooth and easy to use. Give it a try.

5. Bonza Word Puzzle by Minimega Pty Ltd

Bonza is a unique crossword that incorporates word search, jigsaw and trivia knowledge. In order to solve a crossword you have to arrange the pieces by pushing the boxes with your fingers. It is incredibly fun to play and trains your brain to think faster and more efficiently. The puzzles' dificulty levels range from easy to hard, so sometimes you'll find yourself stuck for quite some time before you solve them. A fresh new take to the crossword games that you should try out now that you can without spending a penny.

6. Train Conductor by The Voxel Agents

Have you ever thought of being on a classic, old western type train? Even if you haven't, Train Conductor will give you a fun glimpse of a train conductor's daily routine. In this game the player controls the trains in order to send them to their destination, by using his fingers to create track connections (by swiping) and stop or start a train again (by tapping).Obviously that is not all there is to it, as the player must try to avoid collisions and take care of other matters, such as managing the trains' peak hours. It's a game for all ages, made specifically for having fun and nothing more.

7. Fruit Ninja by Halfbrick Studios

I'm sure all of you are familiar with the Fruit Ninja game and now you can rejoice as you can have the whole game for free, as long as you get it before the offer ends. What's even more exciting is that the game is enhanced with more features, new gameplay and new characters, as if it wasn't already addicting enough. You know the rules; slice the fruit, don't slice the bombs! Act fast and keep your eyes focused. You can test your skills in the Arcade mode, use powerups and do many more stuff. Hurry up guys!

For those who enjoy cooking and/or want to check alternative recipes that focus more on fruits and vegetables, this app will give you detailed recipies as well as photos, recipe indicators and a shopping list for the ingredients needed for each recipe. A lovely app that focuses on a healthy diet and products. 

 9. Little Moments by Fat Mum Slim

A photo editor that apart from filters, adding quotes, and Facebook/Instagram sync, offers a feature that allows the user to post a photo in a calendar to keep it as a memo and share it with other users in the Prompts menu.
