PS4 Neo Confirmed, Will Not Appear At E3
Andrew House gave an interview to the Financial Times, initially confirming rumors that the updated and more powerful PlayStation 4 codenamed Neo does exist indeed, but will not be presented during this year's E3.
The president of Sony Interactive Entertainment said that this new version of the console will exist alongside the original model, and both will be sold throughout the life span of the PS4. As for the games, all of them will continue to support the current model as well.
House also noted that the newer PS4 model is aimed towards those who own a 4K TV and belong to the “hardcore gamers” category. We will not learn more about the PS4 Neo this time period, however it’s reasonable to assume that Sony will probably make a more detailed announcement the second half of the year.
