Removing a Device From Apple iCloud

For concerned iCloud users, it is possible to remove a device from the Find My iPhone software.

From an iOS device, Go to Settings > iCloud, then select to turn off the Find My Device feature for the relevant device you wish to remove.

On a Mac computer, select the Apple menu > System Preferences, then select iCloud and remove Find My Mac.

If you are unable to follow these steps, it's possible to disable the iCloud service for a device by logging in over the internet:

a) Turn off the device you want to remove.
b) Sign into icloud.com/#find from a different computer using your existing Apple ID.
c) Select All Devices, choose the offline device, then select Remove From Account.
