1 medium Google Play Colorful Redesign Coming To Android Devices Over Next Few DaysGoogle is busy launching a new colorful Google Play Store update which changes how the store looks to different users.

The update is particularly visual with bigger icons, new art, brighter animations and a cleaner appearance overall. Information is displayed with a better layout so it's easy to scan the page and find what you are looking for.

The big UI difference is that more scrolling is involved to dig deep to find what you're looking for. So less displayed in one go, but more hunting around to find more detail when that's needed. In that sense, the redesign is likely to be seen more as something aimed at mobile users than desktop ones.

Tweeting The News

Google went out over Twitter showing off several different headers for varied looks within the Play Store. The captures show off well the array of vibrant color used throughout.

Gradual Roll Out

The update isn't happening all at once. The Play Store is being changed gradually over a period of a few days until all parts of the store will come with the new look.

How Does It Compare To Apple's App Store?

How do you think the new Play Store design will compare to Apple's App Store or the Microsoft App Store for that matter? Is it an improvement or a step backward? Add a comment and let us know.
