Until yesterday, the only way to get your hands on Google Glass was to be a resident of the United States or the United Kingdom, have a spare $1500 or £1000, as well as be part of the Explorer program in order to buy it. Now, the third limitation (if that was the one that was stopping you from buying it) has been lifted and you can buy the device under the same price in Play Store as well. I know, the news aren’t as exciting as you expected them to be but hey, it’s something.

Google Glass hits US and UK Play Store

Google Glass is now available worldwide through the Google Play Store, so there’s your chance of acquiring it. The price is still the same as always (a vast amount of $1500), so that’s quite discouraging even for professionals and those who don’t want to use them just for their hobbies. In addition, the device is still in Beta; developers still have some way to go until the product is in its final stage and completely ready.

As we have previously described, Google Glass has its own apps that can be used in sports, when travelling, or even when you’re home, and is voice controlled. It connects to the internet through an app in your phone and has a camera that can take photos and videos of everything you see. These are just some of its features, to get you into the concept of Google Glass.

So if you wish to purchase your own Google Glass, head to the Play Store. Along with the device, which comes in 5 colors, you’ll also be handed a free frame for prescription lenses or shade for making them a little bit cooler than what they are.
