GTA V PC Release Date Might Get Pushed to 2015

If you've been eagerly awaiting the re-release of GTA V for PC, you may have to hold on a bit longer than originally expected. Despite the fact that Rockstar told everyone at E3 this year that the game would be out Fall 2014, it is really starting to look like we won't see GTA V on PC or next-gen consoles until 2015.

Whenever a major game is going to be released, the date is known at least a few months in advance -- so since there is still no release date announced and we're almost in September, it doesn't look good. The game was released for Xbox 360 and PS3 way back in September of 2013, so it's certainly a bummer to fans that nothing has been confirmed after nearly a year of waiting.

However, just as no date has been confirmed, that still means they haven't confirmed it for 2015. If we're going to see GTA V re-released this year, there will likely be a major announcement or teaser coming in the next couple of weeks. Since the game has already launched once, Rockstar may not feel the need to build as much hype for the re-release. In-fact, the hype is already beginning to build itself, as many news outlets are already speculating about the release.

Still, Rockstar isn't necessarily a company that needs to reduce advertising costs, so I personally can't imagine why they wouldn't have announced the release date yet if it was going to be this year. If there is still no announcement by the end of September, it's pretty much a done deal that we won't see GTA V until 2015, and even that time-frame is being generous.

There was some "leaked release dates" in Europe that speculated the game would be released on November 14th, but these were never confirmed by Rockstar. For now, we'll just have to hold our breath and hope Rockstar stays true to their original announcement.
