2048 now comes with Official iOS and Android apps

We've talked about 2048 before. Dan called the game A big black hole and an end to your productivity and I talked about How to win the 2048 game. The latest announcement from its developer Gabriele Cirulli tells us that the game is now available on iOS and Android through dedicated apps.

While you can install these apps for your device, you can still use the web version at http://git.io/2048 to play the game both on your desktop or mobile device. Just open it in your browser and play. It's free.

What's new on the mobile versions?

Time Trial mode. This mode will challenge your reflexes as new tiles are added to the board every few seconds (or second) and you have to react faster or else the board fills in and you have no more moves left.

You can remove the ads from the iOS version with an in-game purchase of $0.99 USD.

Based on your future feedback, other game modes might be added to the app.
