Software-ul abylon UAC-GRABBER extinde conceptul de securitate introdus în Windows Vista, numit "Control cont utilizator (UAC)". Programul permite pornirea administrativă a aplicațiilor de încredere fără a solicita de fiecare dată căsuța de dialog de confirmare. Pentru aceasta, dialogul de securitate UAC se va afișa numai dacă programele sunt executate fără cunoștința utilizatorului. Pentru Windows 8 este disponibil un meniu alternativ de pornire.
