BoXiKoN este un joc de puzzle distractiv şi de dependenţă de strategie si logica. Jocul face parte din genul puzzle de acţiune, dar BoXiKoN într-adevăr este destul de diferit. Există un accent mare pe planificarea, organizarea şi selecţie şi mai puţin pe reacţii rapide stil arcade. Există 15 nivele si mai mult de 60 de forme de complexitate în creştere cu care jucătorul este liber pentru a poziţiona oriunde în grila de joc. Acest lucru oferă mai multă libertate pentru logica creativă şi previziune strategică decât jocuri obişnuite care se încadrează forme de stil puzzle.
