În timpul dezvoltării lui Royale (XP Media Center temă), artişti grafici, de asemenea, a produs o versiune neagră a pielii, sans uzat "de sticlă" efect. Rezultatul este o piele de estetic negru numit "Royale Noir", chiar funcţionează cu Office 2003.

Deoarece pielea nu a fost niciodată lansat (sau a ajuns la ajustări finale), există câteva probleme cu ea: o parte din culorile nu corespund global "simt" (sunt prea violet-ish în comparaţie cu griuri de bitmap) şi de titlebars inactive sunt un pic prea întunecată.
